Trooper Henderson had stopped a vehicle near Lawton for defective lights. As
Henderson was making the contact he was struck by a vehicle which did not
stop.

The vehicle was found ten blocks from the scene by local police and was
identified as the death vehicle. An intoxicated Fort Sill soldier was found in the
vehicle. The man claimed two other soldiers had fled; they were not found and it has been
determined did not exist.
